Did the same to me. Try with steam://rungameid/260. It worked for me, the install dialog then popped up.

Yes as soon as I seen the news I opted for the beta, I was already playing CS:S but didn't have chance to check the details until I'd finished playing.

I wish I could help you but unfortunately I can't, you had to be very quick though to sign up, I seen the announcement, registered my interest then went to play, I had maybe 6-8 games and came back to sort out the details and the beta option was closed, hence my first post above as I knew I'd put my name down for it.

No, that means he dled the files but didn't get into the beta. Basically they are useless files on your account :S

I do own Counter Strike Source and played it last night so it has nothing to do with that.

I guess it relates to not having a "key" for the beta as they have enough participants now.
