Only two im concerned about:

Multi-Core use?
Fix interp?

If you change anything else for the pub kids, you will kill this game for the competitive player.

Let's hope they didn't copy the instability of the latest TF2 version.

Can anyone link me to the engine changes? Apparently bhop is gone, that's always good.

Is it on the OB's Engine or on the newest L4D2 Engine (with updated particle system) ?

How do you know?

It's great to have Motion Blur and Dynamic Shadows, but the updated particle would give map makers tons of possibilities! If they were to port it, why not porting to the newest engine?

Probably because the new L4Dish Source-Engine doesn't work well with the GCF-Filesystem anymore. Since CSS still uses GCF's Valve surely won't change this and rather take the Orange Box Engine (which is still based on GCF's) for this.

If I had to guess based on no evidence I've found playing the beta, it'd be the OB/L4D Hybrid engine that TF2 and DoD:S runs on. Since it supports DX8 and simplifies any maintenance to have several games running on the same engine all in lock step.

It's Orangebox engine. Whenever there will be an engine update, it will propably apply to CSS, DODS and TF2 now on simultaneously. Just like TF2 updates affect DODS these days.

TF2 and DoD:S use OB's engine, without the updated content present in L4D.

But guys, could you explain more about the GCF? Doesn't L4D use it? Never paied attention to that.

Ew, is it really just Orange Box? OB made DOD:S feel really slow and dopey, whereas CSS runs like lightning. I find it hard to believe that anything was optimized.
