Does anyone know exactly how much bonus the AI gets when you autoresolve on VH/VH?
The reason why I ask is because I lost a naval battle in which I had 11 First Rates and a 9 star admiral against a bunch of 3rd rates and steam ships. Granted, they had 20 ships when I had 11, but COME ON!
(and before you say anything, I know that I can 'fight it on the map' but my computer has a really hard time rendering the water in naval battles so I try to stay away from them)

Another thing... what is with the re-tarded campaign map AI?
I owned the two regions separating the Iberian peninsula from France (as GB), and France had sent all of its troops to fight me there instead of fighting Austria and Prussia which were hammering the French on their eastern front.
They would hit both towns with two full armies each (all sorts of elite units in the mix) EVERY. SINGLE. TURN., and I would have to fight them off on the map every time because of the boost they get on VH/VH.

i dont play on vh battle ai i dont like bonuses but the only way i can see the third rates and steam b ships beating you is the fact they are faster or the autoresovle is not the best thing in the world
at least its better than empires :)

I do find that the coalition is complete rubbish. In my Russian campaign I'm doing all the fighting for the Prussians and Austrians because they're too stupid to mount a decent defence. They seem to just build up armies and then run them round their territories without purpose and the French hammer them.
Britain just sits on its island and does nothing. They have sent Haratio Nelson with their whole navy somewhere south leaving their ports open to French blockades.
Unfortunately whatever coalition faction you play as your allies always seem to be totally dumb and die easily. I guess the game is programmed that way to make it easier for the French and provide more of a challenge for the player.
As for the naval battle I have the same problems with auto-resolve. The AI just seems to have a seriously unrealistic advantage when that option is used, on land, as well as sea.

Guys don't express your opinions here. Your thread will get closed.
But to answer your question the AI is horrid simple as that. Your on your own whatever campaign you choose and is really down to luck whether the AI manages to put up a challenge.
If you want a challenge let 25 turns pass without you doing anything than start fighting. Otherwise I haven't had a campaign last longer than 50 turns.
