Steam won't launch if ~/Documents is a file and not a folder as expected.
The reason it is a file on my system is that it is a shortcut to the "Documents" folder on my iDisk (so they could be synchronized on all my machines and in the cloud).
Even if I replaced this shortcut by a symlink, that of course would means storing all Steam data on a web synchronized volume. I would also not be able to make a symlink in the "iDisk/Documents" folder to a location on the local disk as it's not supported on WebDav volumes.
Please make sure that a location that makes sense is used instead of "~/Documents/Steam Content" and/or let us choose the location, it seems to be hardcoded and I can't find a way to change it.
