View Full Version : Impossible to Add Many Non-Steam Games

Forgive me because Mac is not my primary platform.

I have a number of Blizzard titles installed on my Mac. Of those titles, only one of them is recognized by Steam's "Add non-Steam program" picker.

Checking the info for each game's executable shows that it's of type "Application", but it still doesn't show up in the file dialog, which is filtered to "Applications" as the only possible option.

Is there something I need to do to get Steam to recognize these games, or am I out of luck for the time being?

It's a really small issue in the grand scheme of things, but if I can nuke some of the icons in my dock in favor of Steam's UI, I'll do it.

Thanks.

Was just about to ask this myself. Warcraft III and the Starcraft II Beta added fine, but older games like SC and Diablo II are unable to be added to my game library as shortcuts. As stated above, it's an extremely small issue, and I'm sure Valve has bigger things to worry about right now, but any help would be appreciated.

Same here with Diablo II and Starcraft. Also, Railroad Tycoon III, a non-Bizzard game, can be added, but it crashes if I try to launch it from Steam.

Just looked in the bugs & suggestions thread and it seems this problem has already been added to the list. Hope Valve sees it. It didn't even dawn on me that these older games aren't Intel native and that's probably why we can't add them.
