Steam REALLY doesn't like Spaces

I'm glad Steam is on the Mac, and I can't wait to play Portal on this thing. (51%...) However, I've noticed that the Steam client tends to break with Spaces, and to a lesser extent, Exposé. First, Steam windows refuse to change spaces when I grab the window and press ctrl+arrowkeys like other applications do. This isn't all that annoying. I've got Steam running in its own little assigned space and I don't plan on moving it out of there. This isn't the major issue, though. I've noticed that if I'm having a conversation on Steam Friends, then switch to another space, and switch back, the command key sometimes decides to stick down. If I type the letter A, the whole thing gets deleted and replaced with A. If I type V, my clipboard ends up in the window, and pressing ENTER creates a new line instead of pressing SEND (as is customary for command+enter to do). So forth and so on. It's a simple bug, but it's annoying the hell out of me.

Also, I'm wondering (and this has nothing to do with Steam really) if there's a way to disable the audible alert for one application. I've been using the Mac feature where it tells you things like "Excuse me, Safari needs your attention" when the app icon starts bouncing, but it starts to get really frikken annoying when Steam gets involved. Is there a way to disable that for one application only?

UPDATE: I've noticed another one: when hovering over friends in Steam, the computer has an odd habit of changing to a random space instead of just staying there.

Yeah, Steam isn't that happy with third-party tools for similar things on Windows, always, either (and don't get me started on what it does to my poor workspaces when I run it in wine!) I think its custom drawing stuff... isn't really that great for such things.

I drag+drop my Apps when using spaces (I have a 10 button mouse.. Herf Derf...) and Steam doesn't complain. The only thing I notice is it doesn't stay in the same place where I place it in the Space, rather it returns to the location it was on one space to the new one. ie if I have the steam window in the top left corner in Space one, then drag it to the bottom right of space 3, once I open space 3, it will snap back to the top left. Awkward, but bearable. Might wanna fix it though :3

Spaces isn't really third party. I think it's nice that Steam is on the Mac, and even in native cocoa, but I see plenty of evidence right now that Steam is a Mac application that goes out of its way to act like a Windows program. The custom drawing stuff is cool on the PC, but on the Mac it just doesn't fly.
