Thanks.

The Mac version of Civ is only to people who bought the game today and later, unfortunately. TF2 is still in beta.

But it should surely show up on my all games list as I have owned it in windows for a few years now...?

Also CiV 4 is a steam play title on its store page so surely it should be there

If you read the support page for Steam Play, only games that are on that list retroactively support the feature. Civ IV is not, so you must have bought it today to get the Mac version. It sucks, I know. I bought it this past weekend in anticipation of Mac Steam.
If you previously owned any of the games listed here prior to May 12th, 2010, you will have access to them on both Mac and PC. Games not on the list currently do not qualify for cross-platform support if purchased prior to previously mentioned date.

same here... no killing floor in my All Games List. Only the Killing Floor Mod.

Ditto for Killing floor... Seems there are quite a few bugs at the moment. It would be good to hear from Valve on this issue, just to get some official confirmation that they are working on a fix.

Steamplay is only supported for Civ4 if you bought the game after May 12. If you bought the windows version earlier than that and want to play it on your Mac, you will have to buy it again.
Read the Steamplay (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=9439-QHKN-1308) support page.
Only the games on that list can be played on your mac if you bought the game earlier than may 12. Civ4 isn't on the list.

Altitude disappeared from the list as well. Weird really since the game is java and they talked about the mac steam version on the developers site.

I have asked GamersGate why are they selling (some) Win/Mac games separately when it's practically always the same game. Answer was: it's publisher's decision. So I guess it's the same on Steam - publisher's decision.

Well, that's not the news I wanted to hear. It would have been nice to play some of the old games on my Mac, but the truth of the matter is, my PC is my gaming machine. I won't buy old games just to be used on my Mac.

But we clearly see that the publisher's decision was "steamplay" (=one license for both versions).
So what else is the publisher's decision? that people who bought it before the 12th of may aren't supposed to play it on their macs for absolutely no reason?

Civ4 situation is unforgivable. Even if we were desperate enough to buy it again we cant.
TF2 should be up by next week or the week after.

it's not "absolutely no reason" at all
civ4 mac was published (and presumably developed) by a totally different set of people. Another company giving their work away is not legal.
Presumably since the mac launch, some sort of revenue-sharing system has been introduced where the profit is shared between the developers

Civ 4 is now available and shows up in my Mac games list to download at no charge. So, Fixed.
TF2 however, is still no where in the OS X client, not even in the all games list.
