Yeah, just about every mac in the past 10 years has a built in microphone.

I have an "iMic" USB sound card plugged in to a USB hub I keep on the back of my desk. I keep an external microphone and headset plugged in to it.

I have a good mic built into my Macbook Pro. Alternatively I could plug one into USB or the line in jack.

I have lots of mics, but I prefer my USB headset.

Does that answer all your questions?

My built in mic has no problem picking up my voice. I've been using it in WoW for months.

I've always used the built-in mic that's on top of my iMac's screen when playing Steam games through Windows - people have always been able to hear me just fine.

Regardless of what mic you use: if you're not waking your family up by screaming, you're not doing it right :)

I use a Koss headset with mic together with the mac, feels more natural :)

Man i think my Performa 5200 had a built in mic. I think that was 1993. Worked great too.

This has got to be a troll thread. I mean really. Next thing he'll ask us if Mac support USB falsh drives "If you're into sharing small files with other computers, get a usb flash memory storage device!"
