Every time I launch one of the Telltale games it shows the preparing to launch window, the icon will flash in the dock for a fraction of a second and then disappear, followed by the preparing to launch window opening again beginning an endless cycle which can only be stopped by force quitting Steam. PLEASE HELP!

After looking into the console, it appears that this is caused by the same error preventing me from playing Torchlight. It appears that the game is not detecting Steam running and posts an error about the ipcserver.

I got the same problem. Neither Sam & Max nor Monkey Island will start. The launching window just pops up and disappears again. The update of steam didn't help.

My System:

MacBook Intel Core 2 Duo; 2,4 GHz; NVIDIA GeForce 9400M; Mac OS X 10.6.3

'Anybody got an idea what I could try out?

I'm having this same problem with both the telltale steam pack and the lucasarts adventure pack.

MacBook Pro, Intel Core 2 Duo, GeForce 8600M GT, Mac OS X v: 10.5.8

Has anyone come up with a solution?
