Torchlight, Strange Crash (mac)

I can boot into and run torchlight just fine, except when i walk through town and hit a certain point walking across the game crashes and "unexpectedly quits". Has anyone else come across this error? Any thoughts?

Just an update,
turning on netbook mode has made a world of difference. So far i have encountered no problems.

With netbook mode, I get as far as about 2 minutes into the mines before it dies on me. It's getting really annoying. Are you guys using a macbook as well? I'm thinking it might be an issue with the video card.
