So I am getting to the point in the game where I am expanding a little. I bought this ship that was offered for a good price that had some marines on it and has a fighter bay.
1st ? - What do the marines do and how do you use them?
2nd Question - I found some fighter drones and want to use them, I thought any ship can use them but I cant install them on any of my ships? Am I missing something like a part or upgrade?
Thanks in advance!!

Marines are for boarding other vessels, a guide can be found Here (http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=218567)
Found a few topics on Fighter drones, try this one (http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=274136)
Many other tips can be found on the Egosoft site in the topic entitled "The Ultimate X resource and guides list" (http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=162408)

Marines are a unique way to capture the larger ships. While smaller fighter pilots might bail, the captain tends to "go down with his ship".
So you can use either a transport personal [ TP ] or a ship which can launch boarding pods to clean out the interior of an enemy capital and claim it as your own.
Fighter drones are usually found on the small transports [TS] or carriers. Here is a previous post about fighter drones and usage (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=14875261)
Also from the manual [ X:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\x3 terran conflict\Documents]
To launch them, go to your Freight menu [f],
highlight your drones and with the [Right Arrow] key select the number you want to use; then press [Enter]
to eject them. Go to your sector menu, select a drone, then the Command Console, then “Broadcast to all
my ships in the sector”, “Broadcast Sector, Fighter Drones”, and select command “Protect me”, “Attack all
enemies” “Attack…” or “Protect…”. Or use the keys [Shift + 8] to command the drones to Attack Target or [Shift +
9] to command them to Protect you.
