I am deciding to in a couple of months join a MMO. Star Wars Galaxies or EVE. Please mighty (lol) forumers post the advantages of this game and the disadvantages of the other game in thread located on this page.

starwars galaxies issn't anymore what it used to be. I was with it when it was first released.
They cut like 20proffessions / weaponclasses out.
I would recommend EVE to you since it is a game with a much healthier community and much more involving. SWG is old and its passable except your a huge starwars fan.

If you are much into the star wars lore this game nowadays, at least it was months ago so, is amazing for RP, I have yet to encounter a nicer and friendlier community(many communities are great, eve, war and so on.) but I met the nicest people in this one.

And even if they cut the game massively with the NGE the current devs, with some exceptions, made the best out of the situation, they brought massive content for a rather small community which doesn't have to hide behind the updates of other mmos.

well definitely not swg. you would do well to stay away from all soe titles to be honest.

I have played this game since 2008 (off and on) and I will say it's the best representation of the Star Wars universe in game form your going to find out there. KOTOR and Sith Lords are your best bets for single player RP Star Wars games. Eve, its OK but unless your willing to invest a lot of time to learn it's confusing economic system I would pass. I really want TOR but until then I'll be hanging out in SWG. If TOR flops which Im sure it won't but if its not to my liking or I get burnt out I can always come back to SWG... hopefully. I don't know if SOE will continue to keep the servers up and support SWG in the future. I wish they would just make it free to play though.
