A Little Help Please?

Hey, I'm not new to computers, but I'm also not a computer guru. I love Bioshock. I have it for the PS3, but I'm going to college and my brother is keeping the PS3, so I want to buy bioshock 1 and 2 from Steam. I had problems playing a friend's retail copy and the Steam demo on my desktop, which was a Windows Vista. I recently bought a new laptop with Windows 7, am I going to have the same crashing, screen-disappearing, sound-muting problems that I had with the demo and the retail copy from my desktop? I can give specs if you need them. I'd really appreciate help.

We will probably need the specs.

But, even without the specs, I would suggest that you download the demo and give it a try. If BS1 works then BS2 should too.

I just did and it works fine. I got all worried over nothing. Even still, I have an ATI Radeon HD 5470 with a gig of dedicated video. Think I could run BS2 @ full res?
