Resolution cannot be changed

I have searched everywhere, and I cannot find the answer to this. For some reason the game is stuck on 1360x768 (which I never changed to) and will not allow for a change. 3 things I have noticed:

1) The resolution dropdown menu shows the resolutions up to 1920x1080 and then starts over with another list.

2)The game goes completely black when trying, then restarts at the aforementioned resolution.

3) If I set AA on, it works, but will shut off if you change the resolution again.

My setup is:

Windows 7
Alienware 2310 23" HD Monitor (1920x1080 Native)
2x 280GTX in SLI (updated drivers)
Q6600 OC'd to 3.3ghz
300GB Velociraptor HD
4GB DDR2 PC1000 RAM

I hate to do self bumping, but I seem to be the ONLY one with this issue. The game runs choppy, the resolution and AA won't set, and I get steam cloud questions almost everytime I try to load up. I have tried wiping the game but it doesn't clear completely no matter what I do, and still has the same issues.

Games I have run at max settings with no issue: Bioshock 2, Mass Effect 2, Borderlands and CODMW2.


**FIXED** Just on the off chance anyone else has this problem, I found the culprit. For some unforeseen reason, the NVIDIA control panel stated the desktop was set to 1080p 1920x1080 (Native). I reclicked the resolution, and then hit apply, and the resolution was reset, and apparently wasn't set properly. (I have no idea why this is). Either way, Torchlight now recognizes the resolution properly and was able to set at 1920x1080.
