Hello, I myself am a mac gamer, yet I dont understand why we have so much whine about not having a source game come this week? I understand the situation with TF2 and, yes, it does seem a tad unfair that it was in the beta , but not released on this wednesday, but what can we do? I see people talking about how valve is releasing other developers game and spending time on other developers game's, but I wonder if some of you who think that realize that it is the indie developers that work on their games like that? I was very happy to see the amount of effort put into Killing Floor and I am currently installing it.
You guys really just need to chill out, sit back and find a distraction until next Wednesday, really I mean dont even get your hopes up for something that may not come out.
TL;DR
Your game didn't come out? U MAD? Tough.

If you think about it, it's only ten or so individuals causing a bit of a stir on the forums right now. Background noise that will always be there no matter what you do as a developer. The funny thing is that these people already invested so much energy in complaining and being involved, that they will never go away or boycot the products, regardless of what they are shouting.
Valve doesn't care about these ten whiners. Valve does care about the rest of the Mac community and knows very well that if they mess things up, they will loose customers. The Steam and Portal roll out didn't go very smoothly, so I can imagine they are taking things a little slower now. But also not too slow, since they do need momentum to launch their tripple A names. A lot of Mac gamers have Steam installed for awhile now, and if nothing happens for the upcoming weeks they might loose interest. This is what Valve cares about, to get those people hooked.
So don't worry about it. Valve isn't making big mistakes or false promises, they are just trying to find the right balance in releasing stable products and making the customers happy. That is what makes us come back for more.

can someone please lock some of these threads. 1 is fine, but 3 or 4 is tiresome.
