Who wants it for Mac? I love this game and I haven't played it for a while. I think we should convince Ubisoft to bring it out on Mac.

I would love to play Beyond Good and Evil, yeah. Ubisoft ports have been mostly Cider, though, I think. Prince of Persia could get really choppy video no matter how low I set the graphics quality. :( I don't want another game like that.

Ohhh, man, I love that game. Still have it on my PS2 though, so I most likely wouldn't buy it on Steam.

Such a great game. I still have it for PS2, but I would totally buy it for Mac. It would be fun to replay, and PS2 looks like crap on my HDTV anyway.

I'm bummed that the sequel got scrapped. I was so excited for that.

Hmm, good point. I haven't used my PS2 since I got my HDTV, to be honest. Still, I think BG&E might be better played w/ a console controller so if a hypothetical Mac version supported that then great.

I too am sad that the sequel got scrapped. I mean, I'm sure Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell are fine and all but... damn BG&E2 would've been on my watch list from day one... and it was for a while, when they released that teaser trailer.

Ubisoft has been working on the sequel since 2008. I haven't heard anything else about it since the original announcement though...

It was supposedly canceled. Ubisoft recently issued a terse statement suggesting it was still in development, but…well, proof is in the pudding, and we haven't seen any pudding since 2008. Maybe it'll be like Team Fortress 2 and finally come out in 2018.

I don't know. Heavy Rain and Alan Wake were both stuck in devlopment hell but they made it. Not so sure what's up with XIII Versus. But likewise they might just be closed lips right now.

Gametrailers seems to think (http://www.gametrailers.com/news/beyond-good-evil-2-still/2132) that Ubi's "statement" is genuine. Boy, do I hope they're right.

Well, they announced a sequel in 2008, they showed videos and such hinting a release, but no other evidence have been released. I hope they do, I think with the cult-following, it'll fair better than the first game.

I really hope they decide to release the game on Mac.

Depending on your rig, I'd recommend playing it on PCSX2 (http://pcsx2-mac.quant0r.com/) (the PS2 emulator). I have a Core2Quad and it runs game flawlessly so if you're on an i7 then it will almost definitely work. You could also use a 360 or PS3 controller with it.

That's probably the closest you'll get to getting a Mac version of the game. You can rip your own ISO with the program from the disc you have so you don't need to use it anymore.

Also, if you rip your own copy for personal use, at least concerning US law, it's legal.
