I can't get on the boat after the first mission...

I think we've all heard of this, right? Pirated versions of Deus Ex not letting people take the boat to the next mission?

Well, I own the Steam version of the game and I've got the same damn problem!

I'm not running any mods. I even verified my local files just to be sure and the only thing it wrote over was my video\control settings.

I didn't have this problem before. I got all the way to the airfield before I decided I wanted to start over. Now I can't get on the boat! I really don't want to play through all this again :(

I think I've had that problem years ago... can't remember what I did to fix it

Only thing I can think of is re-installing the game

Possibly copy your save files to keep your progress?

First mission shouldn't take too awful long to complete...
Its worth it to restart to get the game to work
