anyone have any good starting strategies for this game?

after a while im getting huge ratings from two and three star shows (like 2million +). but the safer contracts (that demand 2k viewership) are barely letting me break even. and the more lucrative contracts are very risky to take, since i dont know if i will have shows that will be able to finish the contract. i usually wind up floundering during day 4-5.

I'm thinking you are putting shows on that are too high in quality - basic economics say that you shouldn't spend money on getting 2 million viewers when your advertising contract will only cover the first 150.000.

So find a decent balance, and you'll be fine.

Is there a way to predict the expected ratings of a show prior to airing, so you can tell if your ad contract will be fulfilled?

yes, right click in your agenda on the hour icon and you will have a display of the expected audiences.

It seems, though, that they are sometimes WAY off. Especially when I look at the prediction for tomorrow, it's usually off by about twice the actual viewer count.
