Those achievements must be some of the most boring ones I've seen here on steam. Repeat the same few things with all of the planes and complete the training... Some creativity next time please if you are planning to add more with some big update or something (not sure how that thing really works).

Yeah dude, if you want to play games for the achievements then go play on an xbox.
These 'achievements' are in-game as well. They were there before Altitude was available on Steam. In-game they also give you experience points for achieving them, allowing you to level up faster if you try to get better with other planes. Since they're achievements, sort of, it would only seem logical to port them to the Steam achievements when it was released on Steam.
So yes, they are bland, but they weren't made for showing off, they were made for getting experience points. It's one of the rare few games that has achievements that actually do something.

It'd be nice to find a few acheivements such as:
PlaneBall;
Oh No You Don't: Intercept a pass near home goal.
Denied: Intercept shot and Kill the Shooter.
2-4-1 : Pass Twice, Move for 4seconds, 1 Goal
Teamplayer: Pass the ball 100 Times
Use The Force: score from off screen.
Destroy The Base:
Dambusters: Be in a team which carries and bombs with two bombs at once.
Iron Curtain: Successfully Defend A Base with Zero Damage Taken (The base not the player)
And then various Plane related ones;
Miranda;
Quantum Leap : Get A Time Anchor Kill which places you top of the leaderboard.
Loopy;
System Shock: Cause a double kill from an EMP
Bomber;
Dinner's Served : Unload 3 Bombs into three seperate targets within 5seconds.
Bi-Plane;
Red Baron: Secondary fire and kill a target whilst stalled. Pull up and survive.
