It could be just my friends, but in 10 minutes of persuasion for my two friends, they buys it. Alot of persuasion for 10$/8£/9 euros get them to buy it...
So I suggest spending a nice ten minutes with all your friends, theyll be saying "You owe me 9 euro." in no time :l

I'm in a similar boat... sort of. I bought 4 copies for me and 3 friends (obviously), I don't care about the money as I was happy to pay for it for them. The issue I'm having is that it doesn't matter what server we look to join we'd end up with just us 4 playing. So none of us play it. Pity really.

Yep, really sucks. Decent game, no one playing. They really need to do a free weekends to drum up more interest, or at least give people who actually bought the game someone to play with. I kind of feel ripped off since I can't play online with other players.

Sadly indie multi-player games rarely do well. Single-player indie games can afford to wait for word of mouth to spread and for sales to occur at a steady pace over time. But a multi-player game really needs to get as many people to buy the game early because once you can't reliably find a server, word will spread and people will stop buying the game. Personally I think they screwed up big time not offering a demo or free weekend early on. I'm sure there are plenty of other people like me who assumed they would release a demo and just kept waiting for them to release it. A demo is very important for indie games because the quality can be all over the place, I very rarely buy one without it. I probably would have liked the demo and would have bought it but now that the multi-player is dead I won't. The only chance they have, and it's pretty slim, is to have a free weekend when nothing new is coming out and hope for the best.

It's very confusing why they chose to do what they did, maybe they're too busy working on their next game. It's really a shame because it makes it even less likely for me to ever buy an indie multi-player game and I'm sure it's had the same effect on other people.

Sadly after having been burned by Shattered Horizon and Lead and Gold lack of multiplayer players this is exactly why I avoided this great looking game. A free weekend combined with a discount would certainly help with lack of players.

Too bad that they never released a demo

This whole situation with Plain sight and other indie multi-players like Madballs seriously is making me not wanting to buy another indie multi's ever again; i dont mean to don't like a troll XD

And that's why I waited before buying it -- funny how a few people chided me saying it was only $10. Well, $10 for an empty multiplayer game is wasted. Maybe they'll run a sale.

The issue is everyone making games instead of joining them. As much as I'm sure everyone likes to set up their own rules, they should disable non-dedicated servers for a little while. I'm looking at the lobbies now and there are 6 or 7 different private games with one person each, and all the dedicated's are empty. People are just that dumb.

I set up private games when playing with my girlfriend, I would love to make the server private with a password or something. But alas its not possible.

I do go into pub games though and greatly enjoy it [:

Right. Another example is the already mentioned Madballs (but at least this stays a way longer time alive then many other games and it also has SP). Or Metal Drift for example. Its a real nice game and fun to play, but it suffers from the same problem most indie MP-only titles do. At least this game has bots to play against.
