free trial (demo), got inside, server not responding

Hi there
I have downloaded the demo from steam, made myself a valid username, patched the game (seems to the max), made my charachter, ship's name, and when i wanna play iI either see spock's introduction to the star trek reality, and then seeing 'server not responding', or the game gets stuck at the begining showing the female capt loading screen, and also says, server not responding, (client says server is on (green light).

I have zonealarm, and even told it "game mode: allow everything" and even then the server seems to not respond. any idea?

It looks as if the God's have taken a liking to you and are trying to save you the heartache.

But if you must persist, this place would probably be your best bet, the Star Trek Online PC tech help forum (http://forums.startrekonline.com/forumdisplay.php?f=70).

Ive opened a ticket and cryptic responded: in the launcher, options, telling it to use a proxy, like EU or US, helped me and fixed it. Hope it would help others if they find same problem.
