Was it ever actually confirmed it was coming out for Mac?
Just because Valve games are doesn't mean anything else is.

Well, I kind of mis-stated the question. It should have been: Will the Fallout series be available for Mac anytime soon?

Why would they re-release their game to please a very small demographic when they have a sequel coming out they are going to be focusing their attention on?

Maybe, just maybe, New Vegas will be released for both. As for the past Fallout games or Fallout 3, it's pretty doubtful.

it's a game for windows live, it will never be on the mac, it is exclusive to the 360 and microsoft operating systems.

Fallout: New Vegas is being developed by Obsidian, not Bethesda.

Bethesda owns the IP and they will publish FO:NV.
Given Beth soft's track record for mac versions....Nope.Not gonna happen.
They dont want/need the mac money.
** At least not in any official way.

wouldnt there be the whole issue of "direct3d" ? im guessing the engine would need to be rewritten because macs are opengl based
so answer is never but maybe future games might... we'll just have to wait and see

I would be more interested in seeing the mac ports of the original fallout 1+2 appear on steam.

Fallout one and two are the best, three is fun but sucks compared to them, and you can't even get any of them. Should have thought twice before buying a mac.

Well Fallout 1 and 2 are on Mac already, they came for PCs and Apples at the same time.
But the third? Doubtfully an official release.

Erm.. Well we all know Sony Computer Entertainment got it on their console.

I don't know much about OpenGL&Direct3D, but it would work perfectly with just a wrapper. Like TransGaming's Cider (http://transgaming.com/business/Cider).
I have Fallout 3 and New Vegas on my 5 year old iMac, using a Windows XP partition. So it definitively don't have anything to do with the hardware.

Ye it'd be nice, much easier to get hold of. But they are out there somewhere.

Like I said, they already are, 1 and 2 that is. You can get a pirate version of Fallout 3 / NV for Mac. But are not made nor allowed by Bethesda & Co.
Don't bother trying to game on a mac, they're just good-looking furniture
No no, don't be ludicrous :P Try it out, you'll be surprised how powerful they are, yeah even with gaming. Mine as I said, is 5 years old, never changed any hardware nor reformatted. Still works just as well as when it came out, most games works fine. :)

Well I hope Beth Obs etc. release 3 and NV for OSX. I'd buy them again in a heart beat
