I would rather use UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT but it won't let me change those keys.
Is there a way to go full 3rd or full first person, this half of each is hard to control.

I know its annoying, I have sort of gotten used to it however it is a crappy console game....

I've about given up on getting much of anywhere in DS. I have 2 different Logitech controllers and the ridiculous profile setup just wrecks the ability to use either. That's $20 I'll never get back.

Have you tried Xpadder? http://xpadder.com/
It used to be free before someone else got the rights to it, i'm pretty sure you can still find the older free versions online though.
It's the same thing as the Logitech profiler, it sets keystrokes to game controller actions. I want to be able to do it from in the game setup, :( Logitech game controllers tank... Thanks for the link though.

You should find an older free version of Xpadder and give it a shot because there's not many games/pads it won't work with, it's much better than logitech profiler.
Also I found this on a forum, perhaps it helps?
I use a wireless 360 controller and it works beautifully in Dead Space and the issues when using a mouse can easily be fixed so perhaps try one of those?
I'm considering a 360 type controller...maybe after next payday...
