Do people still play online?

My friend and I are looking for a new game to play and company of heroes looks pretty good. About how many people still play online and would I need to get the expansions?

If you're only looking to play online, you only need Tales of Valor. You'll have to get the others for the campaigns.

All in all this game is pretty good. It's definitely worth the money, but it takes quite awhile to get good at it, like most other RTS.

well if I were you Id only get the CoH gold pack which is half the price they offer for Tales of Valor alone.
The only thing you wil be missing are campaigns, a few very gay gamemods and a few extra units to each faction but of which literally every unit is either completely pointless or completely overpowered.
so do yourself and the community a favor and get CoH gold. the higher price isn't worth it in my opinion.

oh and yes there are around 8000 players online at peak everyday...you wont struggle to find matches.

Yes, lots of people still play CoH online. In basic matches and automatches.

there still about a ton of people playing this....their ingame datebase shocking to me it still says 15000+ playing all together mix with campaign, auto matching skirmish, co-op.

COH still lives with tournaments still going around. Check out gamereplays.org/companyofheroes. It sure shorten your learning curves for this game!
