I've recently upgraded to Win7 and now all my save files are no longer recognized by a good portion of my Steam games (Bioshock 2 being the obvious one, but also Overlord 2, Plants vs Zombies, and pretty much anything that doesn't use the Steam Cloud).
Can anyone help me as to where I need to copy files to in order for my games to find them?

List all the games you have, and we can tell you where they are stored. They might and might not still be there.
People have submitted to this thread and is also a sticky. It may take a while to find what you want, or it might not.

I've tried to use the Save Locations Wiki to move all my files from the My Documents folder on my D:/ to the relevant locations on my C:/, but nothing I do works.
The games I've lost save files for are:
Batman, Arkham Asylum
Bioshock 2
Plants vs Zombies
Overlord/Overlord II
Dawn of War II
and probably others - haven't gone through them all.
All of the aforementioned games have run their "First Time Setup" processes when I started them up after upgrading.

Your "Documents" folder seems to be where all the save games are stored, so if you didn't back that up and save it, all is lost. The upgrade to Win 7 doesn't always save all of your "stuff" :o
