Connection settings confuse me.
The game reports my NAT settings as being strict. How do I open my NAT?
Are there really only 24 people playing online, or is it my NAT that's restricting me?
I am confuse

3074 TCP&UDP
88 TCP&UDP
80 UDP
53 TCP
Also set them as TRIGGER PORTS.
Not sure if all of them are needed, since I got them from a xbox tutorial, but it works like a charm for me.
If that doesn't do the trick, you may also try disabling any DDoS or intrusion detection mechanisms your router may have (at your own risk).

I'm pretty sure this game's network code is just very broken. I'm in the DMZ and still have a lot of connectivity problems.

Got the game and it's very fun. :D
Unfortunately, I also have the Strict NAT problem, so I had some races with few people in them and some lag.
Weird thing is, unlike all other games, even though I set the ports through my router and my firewall, it still shows as strict. :/
The only game/program that does that and I can't figure why.
Eset Smart Security shows that TCP 80 and 3074 are in use.
Although 3074 is fully open, TCP 80 doesn't seem to go through or something (at least portforward cannot find the port open) no matter what I do. :(

Seriously though, it's getting annoying.
No other game (yes, you hear that a lot, but it's true) does that. :/
I want to have open NAT but nothing, even if I set all ports open in my router and disable ESET's firewall and antivirus altogether.

Well without forwarding, I was on moderate, I have used ports that 'MrDowst' suggested and now i'm 'open', cheers by the way :).
I don't have any software security at all on my machine, all I have is my router running NAT.

The important part seems to be the trigger ports - forwarding only did not work for me, I stayed strict! Either in the form for your port forwards directly or in a seperate settings screen on your router (if you have problems, portforward.com is your friend), your can define trigger ports. Make all above mentioned ports trigger ports for each protocol. This is usually not necessary in PC games, thats why most people are told to leave it alone when forwarding ports.
Good luck!
Where are you seeing your NAT status in game? I haven't seen anything indicating open or strict, I must not be looking in the right place.

Unfortunately, UPnP doesn't do the trick on many routers.

Yea always better off actually port forwarding... I have updated the threads with the correct ports :)
