Does Empire at War work?

Always wanted to try Empire at War, and the Steam release is shiny.

But, as we all know, lots of games don't work. And SW games tend to have issues with newer OSes and cards.

So can anyone confirm that the Steam EaW works in Win7 x64?

Empire at War does indeed work. HOWEVER, I cannot for the life of me use any mods on FoC or launch FoC without using steam directly. I don't know what they're doing to launch it or what but I can't figure it out and its starting to tick me off.



Edit: I've also tried clicking the actual FoC shortcut in common to no avail. It just launches Vanilla EAW.

I don't have the game..so I'm not sure. but did you install/download them both at the same time? With another steam game, Titan Quest and its expansion, I had difficulty with concurrent downloads. On Impulse, I had a similar problem with Space Rangers 2 and its expansion.

If they download at the same time, you could have overwritten something. Dunno if that is the problem, but perhaps a re-download of the two games may help.

I know this is old, but the way steam handles the .exe file is diffrent than if you used a disk version, also the .exe file is diffrent too.

retail Empire at War works fine in x64
retail Forces of Corruption does not work in x64 if you have lots of RAM you needed a no cd crack. It might be the same issue in steam
