Hearts of Iron 3: serious issue

Hello,

I just bought (and downloaded) Hearts of iron 3 for Mac (it's the first game i buy on steam).

There was no problem during the download.

Here's what happens when i try to launch the game: the window with the CD-key appears (i click on "copy key to clipboard") and then when i click on "Play" my computer goes completely mad: the game does not launch, the "Hearts of Iron 3"-icon starts shaking terribly, force quit doesn't work and I have to reboot.

I have a 10.6.3 Mac, 2.66 Chz Intel Core i5.

What can/should i do?

I reinstalled the game, and i still get the same problem.

MacBookPro5,2 OSX 10.6.4, works fine for me. What gets dumped in the Console when it crashes?

It was an issue with registering the game.
