Can't start EVE Online because the Steam servers are too busy, apparently...this is right after I patched it, worked fine when I launched the game to download the patch. Any ideas how I can fix this? :S
Copying my EVE folder so I can use it Steam-free, but it's taking forever and slowing my computer. Just going to update my sisi folder with Tyrannis at this rate.

Great, now it gives me the update box with an ETA of about 7 hours.

I had the same issue. I ran EVE, updated it and then went to run it again and Steam suddenly closed it, wiped half the install and now wants to download nearly 3 gig!

Instead I've just used a back up (thank goodness I had it) and running EVE without steam).

I ran the official EVE Online client automatic update and without any problems, except that it didn's start to download at first, so I had to restart the game. That's probably because I had opened the client before the patch was available for download and it doesn't refresh properly.
Download was also without problems and took about 17 minutes! :p
