So I finished the SP, good great and yay. Now I want to do multiplayer but no I have to download a 2gig file on top of the 16. Then I had to register information such as were I live and what email I use so they can sign me up for garbage spam.

Why did they feel the need to lock this game up so badly?

edit:Talking about Fear 1, not sure why they crammed 2 games into one board.

Nope, you only need a 3MB file, more information in the FAQ. Also, you don't have to put your real information in there you know ;)

btw on your youtube vid...you are correct about your settings...but im pretty sure if you use that so called 3MB unofficial patch...that is what shall cause you to get the stretched models and other bugs that were originally in the game but arent if you are using the actual original steam version files...

The 3mb file just leads to a download of the 2gig it's not included in the download from steam cause it said i was missing FEAR5_Arch00 before I downloaded FEAR combat. And yes I know I dont have to use my real information or even my real email it's just a hassle to even have to register the game when it should have come with cd keys.

The bouncy bodies video was made before I played online so the MP fix wasn't because of that. I think it was just a glitch with the level geometry in that specific place.

You just put the files there in the main FEAR folder for Steam, put in the CD key and it's done. I've been playing for about an hour online since yesterday after doing that.
