View Full Version : Error after starting game

I get the error Signature verification of executable failed. I have looked at the other threads here about the issue and I have checked my date/time settings, I don't run Deepguard & I have tried redownloading the game and verifying it several times (including manually deleting the executable a few of those times) and I still get the error.

Anything else I can try?

Please post your SamHD_TSE.log file.
Also, you can try running once more without verifying cache, because we've noticed that sometimes, after verifying cache, steam launches game before executable if fully processed - which results in verification failed.

It is hard to know exactly what is the cause for your problem; could be that your computer is malfunctioning or that you have some sort of intrusive application on it that is responsible for this. Since I'm not sitting at your computer I can't really examine it, so I'll need you to do if for me:

For start could you please install some antivirus software (if you don't have one already), just to be sure that your computer isn't affected with a virus; avira is a pretty good choice, and it is also free.

Next, please upload your SamHD_TSE.exe file to some hosting service (rapidshare, megaupload) and send me a link to it. For your protection please send link using a private message.

And thirdly, perform a process dump so that I can examine processes you're running. You can do this by typing 'wmic /output:c:\process.txt process' (without quotes) in your Run window (Start -> Run). This will generate file c:\process.txt which you will also need to upload and send me a link to it.

Just went to make sure it was still broken before I uploaded you a copy of my exe and what do you know, it's working.
