View Full Version : Are there lots of people playing this online?

Title says it all. I have no interest in Blur's single player campaign so is the community growing enough to give the online in this game legs?

Last I checked there were about 100 people online. I'd say there's a good bit of people, I've been in quite a few 20 player races recently
100 seems like a pretty small number to me, but I hope that changes soon. I think the game is a blast. I've seen a lot of people in various forums that are interested in this game but are concerned about the MP population. If all those people would just get the game, there would be plenty of online players ;)

The time to buy this game is now as it's in it's "peaking" phase. The MP population will then start to decrease when the next Flavor of the Week comes out.

for some reason i find it very hard to believe that only 100 people are on during peak play-times.. what is going on?

Yepp Sliph, most people (i'm actually guessing >80%) have NAT issues and cannot join games - the counter in the top right only counts people that are actually connected to a game lobby.
If 80% would be about right, figures would go from 100-200 to 500-1000.
Im enjoying this "unique experience" racing game online, lots of cool power ups to make it challenging..
a few issues though, one of them being sometimes my car seems to fade and shut down like I went out of bounds(off the track), but I was on the track the whole time and I lose my position in the race..
The game is also a bit sluggish on my 6-core..
