I just bought this game and one of the DLC's for it and I can't seem to get past the tutorial mission. It will blue screen randomly at some point in the mission. Does anybody know what is going on with this?

That happened to me while i was looking at the ship creation area of the game. I had to turn off my computer via the power button because nothing was responding.

Getting same problem myself... roughly 60s into any battle, I get a BSOD.

You get a BSOD or just the whole compute locks up and the screen turns blue because that what happened when I was playing and I was only in the ship creator menu.

I always get a blue screen, when I speed up the game to 3.6 or 4.0...

Any speed setting crashes are likely soundcard related. Turn off 'pitch shift sounds' under options, or maybe even turn off sound hardware acceleration, and it may run fine. Some sound cards can't handle the pitch shifting well.
