Black Screen of DEATH, crysis wont start!

Hi recently got crysis and to start i did not buy it off steam I'm running a 64 bit on win7. i noticed this problem has been happening a lot to other people and well i tried everything and.... nothing works. If you need my specs here they are. and be forewarned I'm not great at following directions on the computer.:)

I have to wait 1-2 minutes every time for black screen to dissappear and EA logo to appear. So you could try to wait some time. My Videocard is GeForce GTS 250, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

P.S. My Crysis is retail, not Steam. But I think my advice could help.
