I've only played enough of the Marine campaign to get the pulse rifle. Needless to say they've reduced it to a slingshot. It should take only a short burst of 5 rounds, maybe a couple more, to drop an alien. Putting 20 rounds or more into an alien is pure ridiculous. Did they suddenly evolve metal skin? Watch the Aliens movie again and you'll see the huge difference between the movie pulse rifle and the game pulse rifle.
Now onto the Predator campaign. I haven't gotten to the spear, so don't have any thoughts on that one. The only weapon I have a problem with is the shoulder blaster. When was there ever a stun shot? Both the targeted and untargted shot should do the same damage. Then there is the power issue. How did they kill anything before humans came along to leave lights for them to drain for power? Biggest baddest hunter in the galaxy with super advanced technology, but can't take more than 5 shots without having to recharge from a human energy source. I understand the desire to force players to use all their tools as a predator and not rely on just the blaster. Easy fix that plausible. Give it a heat gauge. So you have to spread out your shots or you'll overheat the blaster. If you overheat the blaster you have to wait x seconds for it to cool down before you can fire again.
Haven't played much of the alien campaign so don't have any suggestions for that one.
