Settler limit?

Hi!

What is the Settler limit in Settlers 7? I played the previous Settlers and the unit cap is at a disgraceful 200 in Settler VI. Ummm yeah that was fine like 20 years ago with StarCraft 1 but not by today's standards.

So what is the Settler limit in 7?

note - BTW I tried googling this and for days I've searched, it's like the world doesn't want to leak how many Settlers are allowed in this game or something.

edit - Also please reserve the fanb0y comments regarding unit cap and engine capabilities for Settlers 6. I realize 6 is a few years old. :)

Someone please tell me, I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I'm willing to put up with the DRM if this has a Settler limit of 4 or 500.

It seems to be limited only by housing space, but if there is an actual cap, I've not bumped into it yet.

As far as troops go, there is a cap of 35 units per general.

i reached once 450+ in a game, if there is a cap, it's high.
