1. Will people who buy expansion cards be able to play with people who don't have them?

2. Will the expansion cards be more powerful than the normal decks or will they be balanced so no one has an unfair advantage in-case someone doesn't have them?

3. How much will the expansion cards cost and how many will you receive?

I played the magic the gathering game on the original xbox. It was fun but it was hard to find a game since not enough people played. I believe it was similar to how the card game works. I tried the yu-gi-oh card game out on the old xbox as well it grew rather boring though since there was no multiplayer option. This kind of game seems interesting to me but never had anyone to play against so hopefully this game works out. I just don't want it to end up as some people have stated the guy with the most cash invested has an unfair advantage. :)

Thanks for the reply.

When I pre-ordered it said "Pre-Purchase now to receive the 1st Expansion for free!"

From what people have stated you have to buy expansions so obviously some people will have cards that others don't.

Core Game Decks
* Teeth of the Predator – Garruk Wildspeaker
* Hands of Flame – Chandra Nalaar
* Wings of Light – Elspeth Tirel
* Eyes of Shadow – Liliana Vess
* Thoughts of the Wind – Jace Beleren
* Claws of Vengeance – Ajani Goldmane
* Ears of the Elves – Nissa Revane
* Scales of Fury – Sarkhan Vol

Expansion Pack 1 Decks
* Cries of Rage – Sarkhan Vol
* Mind of Void – Jace Beleren
* Relics of Doom – Tezzeret the Seeker

Plus plenty of unlockable cards for each deck. The total number of cards is 860.

Bear in mind that Expansion Pack 2 (DLC#2) has just been released for the Xbox360 (about a month ago) so we might have to wait quite a while to get it for the PC.

Thanks for the reply. 860 cards should be more than enough. If future expansions are reasonably priced I'll stick around as long as they keep it balanced. :) I don't care much for games that only put people willing to spend alot of money at the top of the highscore list. You shouldn't have to buy your way to the top it should be skill that gets you there.

I get the feeling it's not 860 unique cards, but 860 total. ~60 cards x 11 decks = 660 + extra unlocks. Mutliples include lands and some cards. Of course, I could be way off base though.

Actually the Eons of Evil deck from expansion pack #2 on xbox is the cheapest piece of crap deck I have seen. It is in heavy use by the "I don't like to lose so I resort to unfair advantages" crowd.

- 2 Deathbringer Thocktars (lamest card ever)
- Multiple Zombify cards
- Most creatures allow you to draw and discard cards. Discard big creatures and use the cheap zombify card to have them early.
- Multiple Terminate cards
- 2 Cancel cards
- Flameblast Dragon
- Multiple 6/6 demons with flying and special abilities
- Nicol Bolas a 7/7 dragon that makes you discard your whole hand
- A giant that gets +x/+x the power of ANY other creature that enters the game and retains that power permanently.
