Click play and games does nothing...won't start

Hey guys. I am running W7 64bit. I just bought the game and it won't play. When I click play it just sits here....anyone else have this problem?

Yea same problem here. Hangs at the splash screen. I've tried reinstalling DirectX. Tried reinstalling the game. Tried reinstalling everything except my OS.

Windows Vista 32
Nvidia GTX 280
Core i7
Asus P6T

Just bought the Alien Breed double pack there & i'm also getting this !

double click the game & it wont launch!

Running Windows 7 64bit also

Okay well after messing around i finally found how to fix it.


When installing it would have prompted you to install the DirectX SDK kit or whatever - you should've isntalled that but if you were like me who exited it here is what you do.


go to your steam directory, so for me it was:

D:\Steam\steamapps\common\alien breed impact\Binaries\windows\DirectX_Aug_2009 , then look for a Setup.exe file in there.


Install it & then run the game - worked for me :D have fun....

Yea didn't work for me either.

Verify the game files, I did that and it was missing 6 files, downloaded them and now it's working fine.

I found that I was missing 5 files. Now my copy works, hopefully I dont run into anymore problems...
