When I put in some Props (static) into the Hammer-Editor, then ingame the props disappear. They aren't there anymore.

Why?

Some props are meant to be only prop_physics/dynamic/static.
Try to use those props as different prop types and see, if they appear.

Also, they'll appear as errors in the compile log. Usually it has suggestions for what you should put each prop as there.

Yes, I know. There are all Statics, and some props (statics) are there, and some from the same object not! This is what I don't understand...

Click on the info tab in your model viewer (the window that pops up when you browse for models). It will have three checkboxes: physics, static, and dynamic. Use that as a guide to see which prop type you should use with each model (keeping in mind that anything with "physics" checked must be used as a prop_physics).

What if you used prop_physics_override? Wouldn't that work? I know it could be glitchy.

With some models you can make the game to crash, when you use static model X as prop_Physics_override.

I got this idea, and I know about physic, static etc. I used a lamp that is static checked and so i put in a prop_static for it. At a point the prop appear, and at the other place in the same world not. This is what it's irritating me.

I'l post a log when I'm home.

Sounds like one of the props is compiling incorrectly.

Are you SURE they are EXACTLY the same? Is there any outputs to them AT ALL?

I found when I made and rotated a door from Portal, that it did not just work, I had to refix the I/O and rename them because everything on that door paralleled with the origial door.

Also, there may be a chance a leak is affecting it,though I highly dought it...

Off-topic: my cubemaps don't seem to be working,despite the buildcubemaps command working. Most of them are at head hieght, so I don't know what is wrong. Nothing that is metallic in texture becomes shiny.

No, no outputs at all. Just only an object I put in. Example, it's models/props_c17/light_floodlight02_off.mdl - it is a static, at some places it works, and at some not. I've got to say, that most of the props that don't work are near together, so I have a models/props_c17/light_floodlight02_off.mdl infront of models/props_c17/substation_stripebox01a.mdl (it's a box - static too). But they are not touching each other.

Well, I see that one of that things are physics. Okay, but why does some of the props tell me that they are out of the map? They ar iside, in near the other ones. I loaded a pointfile. It found no leaks.

First, you have a leak (http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Leak). Fix it, and it should take care of your other errors, which are models that are outside in the void. If fixing the leak doesn't take care of that, then make sure all of those models are inside your map.

Also, as I said before, if it has both physics and static checked, it needs to be a prop_physics. However, fixing your leak should fix your problem.

And I don't have leaks, how I said, I startet a pointfile, and I have no leaks!

I have no idea why you don't have a pointfile, but you definitely have a leak. If you can't load your pointfile, you're going to have to find it manually. I know there's a "Go to Coordinates" somewhere, probably view. Use it to go to that prop and check the area for a leak.

The pointfile didn't find. I found it by myselfe, and that was a problem. So my props don't disappear!

one of the other problems was that if a prop is checked for physic and static, I shuld use physic, and if it's static and dynamic, I should use dynamic. I have to use static only for props that are only checked with static. For people who don't know.
