This is an insane price for such a great game. If I didn't already own the retail GOTY edition I'd be all over this like a duck on a June bug!

Before you buy you might wanna watch out. I just bought it, because of the epic price, however it hasn't appeared on my steamlist nor my profile so far... and yes, I paid for it. Contacting steam as I typ this..

I own the retail Collector's Edition but not the expansions and DLCs.
By the time this sale fully registered in my brain, Steam was already downloading it.

Took a minute for me, but it showed up in the end. But it just shows as the "normal" GotY edition though and not with the Deluxe DLCs added. Anyone else have this?

Hrm.. I see that as well. It better have the extra DLC as that's the main reason I'm buying it.

Should I get Morrowind too, and play it first, if I never did? Or is it unnecessary to fully understand everything?

You don't need Morrowind to understand Oblivion. In fact, I don't think there's that many Morrowind references in Oblivion.

Yeah, you dont need Morrowind to understand Oblivion but that shouldn't keep somebody from playing it. A lot of people see Morrowind as the superior game.
Wide screen is a little funky though.

I'm so split, I own this on the console already =( with most of the DLC.. but I cant stand consoles
already beat the main quest line... yet why do I want this so bad again?
It's such an insane deal for the amount of content you get.

The DLC shows up in the Properties window for the game. Just right-click it in the Games tab and click View Downloadable Content.

Because there's so much more to Oblivion than the main quest. The main quest is just a small slice of the game.
I don't think there's that many Morrowind references in Oblivion.
There are a few in some of the NPCs' conversations. Some books from Morrowind make return appearances in Oblivion, and the new books do a lot to explain the history and backstory of both games.

It just says GOTY for me, it doesn't mention deluxe. And when you click 'view available downloadable content for this game' it comes up and says 'There is no downloadable content available for this game.'
Excelllent indeed! Thanks Steam, been waiting since like Xmas to get this (and FO3 GOTY as well). Good thing I didn't jump the gun :)

i sure its the Deluxe version because when u get out, the start section, where u make decisions for ur character, u get given lots of quests related to the DLC u have with the game.
