it's actually gone down a bit. last week it was #2 from the day after it went on sale for prepurchase till about monday

That's a daily list, so it's not all that accurate a measurement of overall performance. Assuming this (http://store.steampowered.com/feeds/weeklytopsellers.xml) is still updated (I don't think it's linked from the front page anymore), it's #8 on the weekly charts.

It was briefly #1 the day pre-order started and has been slowly declining down the list since.

This lists the top selling games on Steam by revenue for the week. DotP is the only game under $10 on the list. Most are well over double that so the number of DotP games sold must be pretty good.

this is good since it mean we shall have a big player base for multiplayer matches :D

Aaaaand the game's #9 this week. Considering the boatload of deals and new releases going on recently, that's not too bad.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the top 10 list is based on revenue. Meaning, A 10 dollar game has to sell a lot more to stay on the list next to a 50-60 dollar game.

This is how it works.

If its above Mw2 it means magic sold 6 times more than mw2 that day or for bc2 it sold 5 times more than bc2 sold that day.Wish we could see how many copies has been sold
