Randomly asks for disc

Been having this problem now and then. Bought the game (CoH and OF) through Steam, yet it prompts me to insert the "game of the year disc" sometimes when I try to start it up. Tried to verify the cache, but it fails for some reason (1 file). Only thing I can think of that might cause this is some custom maps that I downloaded. Is this the reason? What can I do to fix this?

This usually happens when you can't connect to the relic servers, which means either the servers are down or something is wrong with your internet. At least, that's when it would always happen to me. Custom maps shouldn't be a problem, but I can't say for sure. If you are on an active internet connection, the only thing I can think of is try restarting steam, or check and make sure your firewall isn't blocking CoH. Though if it doesn't happen every time I'm not sure why it would be your firewall. Sorry I can't be more help, but I'm fairly certain the problem is your connection to the relic servers.
