Lag When Using Batclaw in Combat

I recently bought a new computer with Windows 7 64-bit. My GPU is a Radeon HD 5850 and my CPU is an Athlon II X3 440 3.0 GHz. I am playing the game on max settings (minus PhysX, of course), which my computer is able to easily handle. I have run into one strange bug, however: whenever I use the triple batclaw in combat, my entire game lags until the animation completes! I have experienced no other slowdowns of any kind. Any thoughts?

Edit: It also lags when I start a challenge, when it says 'Round 1' and spins around Batman.

Besides that, everything else is fine.

The Batclaw also lags when using it to pull down a wall or a grate.

Basically, it lags whenever I use the batclaw.
