if you deactivated the bomb in megaton, you'll have a house all your own where you can store anything. i usually have one locker for misc. items, one for collectibles (quantums, pre-war books, etc), one for weapons and one for armor. when you quick travel to megaton, stick to the left side of the map, take the ramp up and your house will be the first door on your right.

if you blew up megaton, you'll have a room on the top floor of tenpenny tower.

Same here. I just went through with the Chinese Stealth Suit and the Dart Gun. Wiped them all out, no hits on me. :)

Alternatively:

Lay down some frag mines between the bar next to the slaves and the other traders. Go up to the guy in the watchtower with the minigun. Drop another mine or two at the base of the stairs. Blow the minigun slaver's brains out with some instakill weapon from point blank. If the other slavers haven't noticed yet, toss a grenade down in their direction. From that position, fire down on the bar, prioritizing people with rifles first. The mine at the base of the stairs will take care of any melee opponents, along with whatever gun you killed the first guy with. When you're done, walk on down with a grenade and get the attention of the remaining slavers. Throw down an extra mine or two on the way back. Crouch down in the tower and wait for the explosions. Rinse, repeat, until the whole area is cleared. Sell loot to the next trader to come through. Sleep on a bed of caps and/or body parts.

same. My weapon of choice is either a sniper rifle, or the Gauss rifle if I've completed Anchorage. I'm almost always far enough away/sneaking/invisible that I can take out as many as I want with little in the way of complications or damage.
