Hello, my game likes to have this hissing static sound almost as if the mic is to cause. I have muted my mic, I have unplugged my headphones+mic, I have turned the mic off in STEAM settings, I have reduced the volumes of MIC recieve and broadcast in STEAM.
What is going on here, any help is appreciated thankyou.

My problem with the audio is only on the menu screen. Whenever I highlight anything on the main menu with the mouse I get this horrible static screech, any clues? Haven't really got deep into the game yet, but I guess if that's my only problem I should be lucky.

I should mention that this occurs only in multiplayer, single player audio works fine.

That would be because your opponent does NOT have his mic off most likely. There is currently no way to mute your opponents.

Which lead to several problems, like forced to listen to vuvuzelas, some crazy guys screaming, mouth breathing and ♥♥♥♥ like that lol.

Well, at least I know my headphones are not crapping out on me. Yeah, I get this strange audio effect as well. Only happens when I play this game. Happens on single player mode, I have not played online as yet.

Oh jeez, common sense would mean that I should have muted my opponents mic. Ok thanks guys :) I didn't even think of that hah. Cheers!

Common sense doesn't apply here though, because you cant mute your opponents mic. >:

Can't you? I thought that if you'll press Shift+Tab while ingame it'll bring up Steam's interface, and in lower middle section there'll be Settings tab. There, under Voice are options for mic volume sending and receiving. Methinks if you'll mute receiving volume you'll switch your opponent's mic.
Come on people, let's rejoice and continue to jump through the hoops so that programmers from Stainless Games/WoTC DG division will have some fun reading about us doing silly things only to be able to play the game, like watching hamsters in the cage..

I've tried. It does nothing. Maybe if you have it already all the way down when you start a match it will work, I don't know, but turning it down in-match does not work at all, doesn't even effect their volume.

Nope, I've had it all the way down for a while now. I still hear people mouthbreathing and cursing as I lay down platinum angel loud and clear.
It seems more people have turned their own mics off though, because it doesn't happen as often anymore.

Well, if that's the case then devs did outstanding job on this one, cockup that cannot be bypassed! Kudos, well done xP
I'm sorry, I overestimated them. In their pc port execution there are no loopholes *clap clap*

I think it should be illegal to force us to transmit our private conversations without our knowledge. Most people probably think that the "push to talk" settings work. When we are not aware of that it doesn't work, it should be considered unlawful bugging.
