Hey guys, I had this same problem as well as a few others. This may not be helpful but this is what happened to me:

Basically I played till you find the frozen ship, then soon after the enemies began to use their walk/run animations. My shadow only worked correctly from the waist up, the legs just floated and where straight. I am also using win7 x64.

Everything is fine now though...

Same problem here with Crysis Warhead on Windows 7 x64.

Also installing the new Catalys 10.6 display drivers doesn't bring any changes. Neither me nor the enemys legs move, when they move ...
and there are more strange things. i can walk in front of some enemys NOT in ghost form and they dont do anything. or: 2 enemys next to each other, one shoots at me, the other just relaxes and leans back :D

crazy ♥♥♥♥ ...

another question: in Warhead there the x64 version is supported by steam. can i get the x64 files from a buddy and copy them into my crysis data?

Oh dam, don't know why the issues are popping up. But you must of tried to restart the level on scratch right? And maybe on lower settings?

Having the same problem. The NPCs just freakishly glide around the environment. The best is the dude on the boat because he's just standing on top of the seat, ridiculously easy to shoot. But unfortunately it makes the game not worth playing. Changing graphical quality didn't seem to fix it.

Running Win7 x64 on a Radeon 5870.

I'm on Win7 X64 with a 5970 with the same issue. Does any body with nvidia have the same issue?

Here is the answer (in german ... perhaps someone wants to translate?)

Hallo,

in diesem Fall möchten wir Ihnen folgende Hinweise geben:

For me it did NOT work ... perhaps u can test these settings? I guess its a problem with display driver and steamversion of crysis

1st Disable UAC in Windows 7/vista. To do this click Run, type regedit, go here HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\System then double click ''enable LUA'' (its in the left box) and change the value to 0. click ok and then reboot your PC.

2nd Makes sure you are admin account.

3rd run the game as admin. (note if you have the steam version you may not be able to)

4th disable antivirus, programs, and other programs that might make an overlay before launching. (or set your antivirus to game mode if it supports it)

5th reinstall it.

Yours sincerely,
Your EA Customer Service

Google trasnalted then I thought thats a load of BS and heavily edit it.

I'm playing on Win 7 64-bit and have never seen this problem before. It could be related to hardware.

I don't know for sure, but I have had driver versions that caused some weird ♥♥♥♥ with Crysis and I bought Crysis day one. I have Nvidia now and have had ATI and both, at times had weird things happen after driver updates.

One of the strangest was none of the vehicles had wheels (Nvidia driver issue), and when I fell into the water I went under the beach when trying to get back up on shore. These crazy glitches where all resolved with a simple driver downgrade, or waiting for a new set of drivers.

I am almost sure drivers are causing this issue. Ask everyone here with the same problem to post hardware specs, and driver they are running. Best way to troubleshoot this problem.

I'm on Win7 X64 with a 5970 with the same issue. Does any body with nvidia have the same issue?

Running 2x Nvidia bfg 250 GTS and getting the same problem just hit the frozen ship but loging to go out will see if it auto corrects it self later after the ship like somone else said.

Hello

in this case, we want to give you the following information:

-Click on start - all programs - accessories - run.
-Enter "msconfig" in the line of dialog and then click OK.
-Now click on the tabs "Tools".
-Click here now to the function "Change UAC settings" and then click "Start" (bottom right).
-You will now see left a slider. Please set it to the lowest setting.
-Again close the window and even restart the computer.

2. Set up your user account (Windows) the full administrator rights (if have not already done so). You can do this through control panel/user accounts.

3. Please restart the game as an administrator. Click the desktop shortcut to the game with the right mouse button and choose "Run as Administrator".

4. Ensure also that you close not relevant background programs (e.g. Nonrelevant, firewall, etc.) during the operation of the game, because they can behaves quite annoying.

5. If the problem is now still occurs, please completely remove the game from your system and install it then (including the available patches to the game).

Starting a new game solved this problem for me.

Step 1:
go into the crysis folder, then either game or bin32, find the cryanimations.pak file (or animations.whatever) and delete it.
step 2:
validate game files, steam will see this missing, and redownload it.
step 3:
start a new game.

and you're golden.

I had this problem, too. Fixed it by deleting Animations.pak, ShaderCache.pak and Shaders.pak, then verifying the game and letting Steam redownload them.

Still have an entirely separate problem where I can't seem to get the game to run full-screen 1920x1080 @ 60Hz (it's running at a different refresh rate incompatible with my montior), but spamming alt+enter for a while until it does work seems to be a temporary fix.
