Am I supposed to be receiving/looking for a beta key

Probably you will download the Beta game and the pop up think will come up with a key when you run it, then when you enter your EA account details it will ask for a key so you put the key in and play.

Thats what happend with BC2 iirc..

restart your steam account until you see the download option appearing and when its done restart it again and you will have your beta key.

Just give it a couple hours or so. Go outside or something while you wait.

It's possible that Steam will give us actual BETA key's instead of redemption keys as this is direct and we don't need to redeem them into either PC/PS3/360.

Thus it would just be a key entered directly in game if that was the case, which is what the people who have already downloaded the other client are waiting for.

Also, they keep contradicting themselves. Taken from the store page:

Still, they can't put that ♥♥♥♥ on there if it doesn't apply. I pre-ordered just to get the beta. And now I'm not getting what I paid for.
