this could easily be optimized to run at 60 fps on a moderate system, on high settings, on a dual core. It's using 100% of all my cores, my fps drops to 10 in smoke.. I get 60 without action...without action. 1 second at the beginning of a match, otherwise its 40-50 fps. Bad Company 2 runs better for me.
I can understand BC2 using 4 cores because of all the destruction physics...

Are they seriously making the same mistake they did with bc2, are we getting another crappy port? where's the pc love?

I'm pulling ~30 FPS on a Core 2 Duo at 2.1 ghz, 4 gb of ram and a nvidia 9500m GS so I'm really happy about that. I can't even play BC2 on this machine cause the framerate is ~15

pulling 120 or so 4xaa and all max @1680x1050
Something is up... I'm getting between 60-90 fps pretty much constant and every once in a while it even goes up to tripple digits. 1920z1200 4xAA 8xAF all in game settings at their highest.
Q6600 3.2GHz
5870 900/1300
Both CPU and GPU utilization are high, but performance on my machine has been solid. Game itself sucks though.

Lol, fail troll fails. There's no such thing as a 5890, nice try.

Lol, woops. Had my old 4890 for while, bought a 5970 about a month ago. I formed them together in my mind.

But you can imagine what it would be like if there was.
An overclocked 5870? Sign me up.
Sure I'd like a 5970 but at $600 why don't I just buy a xbox AND a ps3?

Because neither have a 5970 :p

This may not be your issue, but judging from your specs you built your own computer, but you did so without doing any research. One big mistake from those specs is that you have 4GB of ram. Probably 2 2GB sticks. The i7 is a tri-channel cpu. The memory controller is setup to run 3 channels therefore ram should be bought in increments of 3. Fail build ftl...

BFBC2 and MoH multiplayer use the same engine.....
The more you know!

Game seems to run fine, ran the game at 90ish fps with:
Intel Core i7 860 stock
4gb DDR3 RAM
480 GTX
All graphics max - 1920 x 1200 - 32x AA + 16 AF.
Just a shame i'm not that fond of the game as it stands.

Yes, but their performance, atleast across my machines are totally different. I can play MoH on a machine with a stock e5200 and 9800GT without much issue. my FPS is right around 30 wich isn't great, but very playable, BC2 on that same machine a slide show. On my 3.2GHz Q6600 MoH is getting 60-100fps where as BC2 ranges from 40-70fps. Not really sure why the game is running so poorly on the OP's machine.

The game sure as hell isn't missing the extra cores on an E6850 OC'd to 3.94GHz over here.. sorry to hear you're having trouble though, it's a very frustrating and de-motivating experience. : <

my comp sucks and it still runs moh and bc2 better than your comp by the sounds of it
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ 2.6ghz Dual-Core
3gb DDR2 RAM
9600GT
Windows XP Pro SP3 32-Bit
With all settings cranked, i can get MoH running between 45-60fps, even with smoke i don't notice any slowdown at all really, while bc2 runs a little slower at around 30fps.
You've probably already tried this, but try doing a full driver clean/update (mainly display drivers). I found this has fixed numerous performance issues for me in the past.

the 45-60 fps is on max settings or lowest? i have 9600 GT and a dual core 3.0 ghz so i guess this is about the last game my system can handle, i really want 60 fps especially when playing online, makes a lot of diff and i cant stand losing cause i have low fps.

Only Core i7-9xx (Bloomfield/Gulftown).
Core i7-8xx (Lynnfield) includes "only" dual channel memory controller.
But you're right, 3x2GB is best with Core i7-920 (Bloomfield).

I get 45fps+ on max settings, although I found with BC2, the Beta ran better (in regards to performance) than the full version, mostly due to the lack of AA I figure, so I'm expecting similar things with MoH, that is if I decide to keep my pre-order ;)
