Im impressed. no, really!

most keys simply do not work during game.
Shift, control, even escape !!! if you are unlucky enough to enter chat you will never get out of it untill killed. and yes, not a single letter can be typed in chat. and guess what? esc does not work.

PS:
it requires to be startd with administrator privilegdes = setpoint profile swithcing does not work.

This feels more like an alpha or a closed beta than an actual beta to me. Recycled sounds (yes they are recycled, listen to them closely), hardly any of the menus work, keybindings messed up, etc. Usually in a public beta like this, most of that has already been fixed. In a true closed beta, it may be like this, where you have to sign an NDA and fill out a form, but this is not a beta like that.

I'm not liking this beta so far either. The game is way too easy, the graphics are alright, and everyone camps. I could play MW2 and get the exact same gameplay and I wouldn't have to shell out $60 for it. I think I'm going to get a refund.

Yea, the server browser has always sucked in Battlefield games. One thing Valve usually does really well.

Battlefield 2142's server browser was a little better but all of them as a whole pretty much suck.

even Frontlines Fuel of War beta was much more playeable that this.

i suggest they should at least take look at the "most requested and added features" list for own previous games :)

after "reset" of controls i`m barely able to control the avatar. crouch still does not work.

graphics looks like sh*t when compared to mw/mw2. not speaking about bfbc2.

i seriously doubt that all the issues i was able to notice after 5 minutes of gameplay will be eliminated during next 4 monthes.

Sorry if you were expecting this to basically the full game but in Beta form. Its like, what, the SECOND day the Beta has been out? These problems are expected in Betas, duh. Your supposed to report the bug so the developers can fix it.

They release the Beta to see how the community thinks of it and to fix it up and so on (Think of it as the "Preview" for your post). Here you are, EXPECTING a fully functional game (and not just you either..).

It seems the Steam Forums are full of 10 year olds demanding they play a Beta that they expect to work. Demanding refunds because the Beta wasn't a Demo. And to those who think this should be a Mod... its a ♥♥♥♥ing Beta you dumbass's. If you can't handle a beta thats technically supposed to have problems, then go do something else. If you think the game isn't fun, then stop filling the forum with your seeming endless posts.

Your lucky you can actually play the Beta without having to fill out forums.

When they expect us to help to improve the game during beta testing there are dedicated forums, nda`s, testers MUST report bugs? their feedback is analyzed by the developers team etc. like it was with Northern Strike expansion for BF2124 for example.

Alpha testing isn't actually bug hunting. Alpha is all about features. They add all features in alpha phase.

But it seems developers are actually putting a up a good fight with piracy.

Making multiplayer games, which are much harder to crack.

Having dedicated servers where you can't play with cracked versions.

Patching often to make cracks not work.

It was amazing how many patches we got for World at War just to make cracks not work.

And how many bugs in the game never got fixed.

Pirating is not a good excuse for not making a good game. If you have low sales, it is because people did not like your game. Pirates wouldnt buy the game anyways, so they cannot be counted towards the potential sales anyways.

Sorry but even before a beta goes to the public. The very basic components of the game should work. Menus, buttons...you know like clicking on matchmaking and it actually does something.
How are we supposed to list bugs if we cant get into the game to find them because we have one major one at the start of the game.

take a look at beezy, no matter what any one says about the game he is there to shine a good light on it or scream the word beta, then, for the next couple of months he is gonna run around his school telling eveyone how awesome the game is, then all the others will buy it. while dice flushs the pc gaming community down the drain with console ports.

well its obviously not alpha but it is a heavily buggy and way beyond release beta. Its the middle of the year and this comes out towards the end of the year they have enough time to fix it. Im glad they showed it off to us. Its both fun and helpful to them. Shows everyone its not just COD + BC2 its unique in its own way. Which it is.

I honestly don't think DICE are the main devs for this game. By checking the store page it says Electronic Arts and not DICE. Dice might have something to do with it but I think it's generally the EA devs that works on it.

I agree. This game feels off, compared to BC2 this is a major step backwards. I know this is a beta, but that's really no excuse for a it being this bad. I've never played a beta that was this horrible. I can't imagine DICE screwing it up this much.

As far as shooters go, it's about average imo for a real beta that's not just a disguised demo (I'm looking at you BC2 beta, CoD W@W beta, and so on.)
