Just got Frontlines with the THQ pack. No matter what I do, it crashes either while loading the level, or a few minutes after I'm playing. If I have all the video settings turned all the way up, it usually crashes during the loading of the level. If I turn them all the way down, I can sometimes last for a few minutes before it crashes. I've tried turning the GPU PhysX off in the Nvidia settings, but that didn't help either.

When it works, the game runs fine. But I've not been able to play for more than 5-10 minutes before it crashes to the desktop.

I have a feeling, with this THQ pack being such a great deal, many people may try this game for the first time soon. I hope there is a solution to this...

Any ideas?

Is that a dual core CPU? (I'm an AMD guy) If so, when you launch the game, open Task Manager and set the core affinity to only one core. This game runs fine on single core and quads, but not well on dual cores with Win 7.

its a Quad core 2.4ghz CPU, i got that same one and it runs fine on my pc with it, i got a GTX 285.

Do yo uknow what temperatures you are getting on your GPU when playing?

Thanks for the replies. I'm nearly positive it's not a thermal problem. I have the fan settings for my GPU set pretty aggressive. Also, I have a full tower case (Cooler Master Cosmos 1000) with 6 120mm case fans. For my CPU I have the Corsair H50 liquid cooler.

I don't think this game taxes my GPU enough to even get it hot... especially when it crashes while it's initially loading the first level. I do have both my CPU and GPU overclocked (CPU @3GHz, GPU @800/1600/1800), but thoroughly tested and verified to be rock solid (using the Crysis Warhead benchmarking tool).

CPU temp tops out at about 45c with Prime95, and the GPU can get up to 90c when fully taxed (Metro 2033, Crysis, Cryostasis, etc...).
